PISA — Programme for International Student Assessment
Since 2000, PISA has recorded and compared the performance of 15-year-old students worldwide in reading, mathematics and science. Since 2010, ZIB has been leading the national project management on behalf of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK).

The ZIB Institutes
The integration of ZIB research projects into the various institutes and the resulting collaborations make it possible to combine the diverse expertise in the field of educational research at all four locations.
Technical University Munich
The ZIB is headquartered at TUM. It is closely affiliated with the TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology. Its work focuses on the PISA study in Germany and related research questions in the field of empirical educational research. Prof. Dr. Samuel Greiff holds the ZIB professorship.
Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education
The ZIB working group of the DIPF focuses on educational and psychological diagnostics and large-scale assessments with the corresponding methodological research. The ZIB professorship is held by Prof. Dr. Frank Goldhammer.
Leibniz Institute for Science and Mathematics Education
The research conducted by the ZIB working group at the IPN focuses on methodological issues relating to large-scale school performance surveys. This includes, for example, questions such as how collected data can be processed and evaluated in the most meaningful way possible. The ZIB professorship is held by Prof. Dr. Oliver Lüdtke.
Institute for Quality Development in Education (IQB)
The Research Data Center (FDZ) is located at the IQB in Berlin. The FDZ collects data from national and international school performance studies and makes it available to researchers. In addition, the FDZ regularly offers events for the further training of young researchers.
