Hand in Hand

The international research program Hand in Hand will develop an EU-wide learning program for social, emotional and intercultural (SEI) competences. The program’s overall goal is to contribute to the building of inclusive societies by improving the SEI competences of students and school staff – the whole school approach. Workshops are carried out in the 8th grade in order to achieve a more tolerant learning environment to reduce discrimination. The project team of the TUM School of Education contributes through its expertise in assessment development and implementation.

Status quo

Currently the workshops for the 8th grade are being prepared. The workshops are carried out in the school year 2018/2019. Furthermore, various publication and dissemination tasks are pursued.
